Carbon floods the atmosphere,
Blankets the cerulean veil.
Oceans, rainforests exploited,
Industrial Man, tipping the scale.
Smothered and left gasping,
Mother Earth’s lungs begin to fail.
Rush headlong towards extinction,
Forsaken and unable to exhale.
